CONTENT SPECIALIST

What is a Content Specialist?

We are seeking a savvy wordsmith to join our content team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller and an experienced editor, who can craft engaging and diverse content. Candidates must have a knack and love for writing, a comprehensive understanding of the fitness industry, be very organized; and passionate about sharing great content.

What will you be doing?

  • Writing various types of articles on a wide range of topics for our blog.
  • Contribute to writing and editing of original, engaging and informative content for long-form articles, slideshows, infographics, instructographics, video scripts, website copy, email campaigns, newsletters, social media posts, copywriting etc. that drive traffic, engagement and leads
  • Providing feedback to other contributors, and editing other writers’ content.
  • Optimizing content for search engines and lead generation.
  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external subject matter experts, partners, key influencers, etc.
  • Understand our target audiences and ensure that GoodLife’s messaging is consistent and unified across all content and channels (digital and print) and follows the organization’s brand, style and tone.
  • Must understand the basic best practices of the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why
  • Measurement and optimization of content

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree (Preferably in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or Public Relations), or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of professional writing and editing experience in marketing communications, journalism, copywriting, content marketing, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Meticulous proofreading and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to prioritize requests
  • Positive attitude, goal oriented, value team collaboration and be comfortable working alone
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
