What is a SQL Developer?
The SQL Developer we’re looking for is a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail, and a subject matter expert in data best practices. They will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of ETL processes and other SQL code using the Microsoft toolset.

What will you be doing?

  • Implement, test, and maintain high-quality ETL solutions
  • Participate in development projects to provide seamless integration between systems
  • Maintain and operate deployment tools
  • Build and maintain code (incl. SQL scripts) to automate and support various business processes in a DevOps capacity
  • Effectively communicate solutions to key stakeholders and project teams
  • Collaboratively establish and document best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

  • Degree or Diploma in computer science, information technology, or computer engineering
  • Microsoft SQL Server (2008 - 2016), especially T-SQL and SSIS
  • Microsoft Azure technologies
  • Code repository management in Git, BitBucket
  • Business Intelligence Markup Language (BIML)
  • Complex data architecture and data management assignments, including data analysis and design, master data management, reference data management, data security management, metadata management, data warehousing, business intelligence, and data quality improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical information in a clear and unambiguous manner
  • Highly familiar with software delivery lifecycle, especially iterative approach
  • Understanding of leading technologies in data management and cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of data management and data architecture functions, including physical database design, data migration, data modeling (UML class diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams), and metadata management, tools, and processes
  • Ability to work with data and system architects to perform complex data management activities, develop and implement complex data migration, and data integration architecture
  • Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines
